Curt McKenzie graduated from Northwest Nazarene University, magna cum laude, with a double major of Physics and History. He attended Georgetown University Law Center on a full-tuition scholarship. After graduating in the top 10% of his class, he went to work for a K Street law firm practicing intellectual property law. Since returning to Idaho, he has tried dozens of cases to verdict before Idaho judges and juries. He has gained experience as a deputy prosecuting attorney and as an associate with a large regional firm before forming his own firm. Senator McKenzie has served in the Idaho State Senate since 2002 and currently chairs the Senate State Affairs committee as well as numerous interim committees. When not working, he is an active skydiver licensed through the USPA and enjoys traveling with his family.
